19-March-2016
Well known local singer Essay Quatre will be performing live at the International Conference Centre Seychelles (ICCS) on April 10 starting at 3pm.
It will be an afternoon of celebration to honour Essay’s 42 years in the music industry, during which he has composed wonderful patriotic music that has become so popular with Seychellois fans.
The love for music has enabled him to create such wonderful masterpieces as Linite Parfe, Boner Lanmour, En Vre Lalimyer, among many others.
“I remember I was in primary six when the class teacher asked us what tool we would use in our profession. Unlike the others my answer was a musical instrument,” he recalls.
Now that he is celebrating 42 years as a musician, he feels very special as he progresses in his career.
Since 1974, Essay has always been active in the music industry. Some of his latest songs include ‘Seychelles Wonderful, ‘Victoria’ and Nou’n Marye.
“Music has been my profession from a very young age. I am able to seek for inspiration everywhere I look. And today as I celebrate 42 years in music, I can say that I have had a really wonderful career. However, this is not the end of Essay Quatre, I still have a lot to offer to my devoted fans,” he said.
The show, which will be in collaboration with the School of Music, will also see performances by popular singers such as Sandra, Jakim, Jean Quatre, Jany De Letourdie, among many others.
Essay describes the show as “one of the biggest shows” before the carnival in April.
“So it is a must for people to come and witness history in the making. It is an occasion to witness a special show that is rare. I promise you that you will have a good time,” he said very proudly.
